Do your cleaners bring their own supplies?

Yes. Our cleaning professionals arrive fully equipped with cleaning supplies, microfiber cloths, disinfecting wipes, vacuums, mops, and equipment needed to complete your service.

If you prefer specific cleaning products due to allergies, sensitive surfaces, children, pets, or personal preference, we’re happy to use products you provide whenever possible.

Our goal is to clean your home the way you want it cleaned.

Do I need to be home during my cleaning appointment?

No. Most Handedly Home Cleaning & Care clients are not home during their scheduled cleaning. Some like to be present at the first cleaning to show us around and provide additional guidance but specific instructions can also be included in your booking online.

You may provide door access using:

  3. Smart lock
  4. Entry code
  5. Hidden key (when appropriate)

Every Handedly Home Cleaning & Care cleaning professional is thoroughly vetted, insured, and experienced or trained to respect your home with exceptional care.

When your service is complete, we’ll securely lock your home, turn off lights, adjust the thermostat if requested, and can even leave a light on if you have pets home.

Are your cleaners insured and background checked?

Yes. Protecting your home and your peace of mind is one of our highest priorities.

Both Handedly Home Cleaning & Care and our independent cleaning professionals carry general liability insurance, providing a double added layer of protection while services are performed in your home.

Every cleaner completes our screening and vetting process before joining the HANDEDLY team. This includes a background check, an interview with the owner, a hands-on cleaning assessment, and an evaluation of professionalism, reliability, communication skills, and attention to detail.

Because we work in our clients’ homes, we hire for character just as much as cleaning ability. We only partner with cleaners we would trust in our own homes.

Can I request the same cleaner every visit?

Yes. Recurring clients are often matched with the same cleaning professional or team whenever possible because consistency creates a better experience and allows your cleaner to learn your home’s preferences.

If your regular cleaner is unavailable due to illness, vacation, or scheduling conflicts, we’ll assign another trusted Handedly Home Cleaning & Care professional who has access to your cleaning preferences and service notes to ensure a seamless experience.

What if I'm not satisfied with my cleaning?

If we missed an area included in your booked service, please take a picture and let us know within 24 hours. We’ll review your concerns promptly and, when appropriate, arrange to return and make it right or provide a discount towards your next booking. Our goal is to provide a consistently exceptional experience and earn your trust with every visit.

How do I book or reschedule a cleaning?

Need to reschedule?

Life happens. We’ll always do our best to accommodate schedule changes whenever possible.

Reschedule with at least 24 hours’ notice at no charge. Cancellations inside 24 hours are subject to a 50% fee; inside 1 hour, no-shows or lockouts after an hour are charged in full. See our full cancellation policy HERE.

How do I prepare my home for a cleaner?
  1. Declutter Your Space. This will be the first thing the cleaner does if you haven’t. Ideally, before your scheduled professional house cleaning or apartment cleaning occurs, clear the floor and large surface areas. You should pick up items like toys, clothes, mail, and other clutter.
  2. Secure Valuables, Fragile Items and Pets (if any)

3. Communicate Your Priorities. Be specific about what services you need when you contact us. Tell us why you are looking for professional cleaning? Are you hoping to prepare to host family members or to clean up after a party event?

Is there a contract or cancellation fee?

There’s no long-term contract — book one-time or recurring, and pause or cancel anytime. If you need to reschedule or cancel a booking, we ask for at least 24 hours’ notice so we can adjust your professional’s schedule.

Cancellations made within 24 hours of your appointment are subject to a 50% service fee. Cancellations made within 4 hours of your scheduled time, lock-outs, or no-shows, are charged the full service price. This helps us fairly compensate your professional’s reserved time.
